Dona Bullock

World Champion Hair Stylist - Owner

Dona Bullock, a longtime Birmingham Hair Stylist and Salon Owner, has set her latest endeavor of opening Joelle Salon as an opportunity to share her grand legacy with her daughters, as well as an opportunity to work with them, and to later pass the torch of excellence to them. In 1982, Dona won a Gold Medal in the National Hairdresser and Cosmetology Association (NHCA) World Championship Hairdressing Team for the United States, competing at the Mondial Coiffure Beaute’ in Paris. Dona later successfully opened Salon Elite in Birmingham, AL. Through her diligent work ethic and creative ability, Dona’s client base grew rapidly. Her reputation and talent have created strong, bonding relationships with her clients for the past 20 years. Dona’s passion led to inspiring her daughter, Mandie Joelle Powell, to follow in her footsteps. Dona closed Salon Elite to begin planning for this new family venture.

Mandi Joelle Powell

Following her graduation from the University of Montevallo, Rebecca embarked on a career in retail management. Over the years, she honed her management skills while overseeing stores for BCBG and Cache in Birmingham and Montgomery. These talents proved invaluable when she chose to dedicate herself to raising her three children, Reid, Fendley, and Logan. In 2020, Rebecca joined the Joelle Team as a Receptionist, rekindling a long-forgotten aspiration of becoming a cosmetologist. In 2022, she took the first step towards realizing that dream by commencing her apprenticeship journey.
